despite the convenience of blogging from my ipad, i haven’t been doing so after i couldn’t figure out how to insert the featured picture for preview. those of you who don’t remember how my blog used to look like, won’t know what i’m talking about. but that doesn’t matter. because now that it’s hassle-free blogging, i will blog more!

Countdown to Tibet

About 37 hours to go before checking in at Changi Airport, 39 hours to go to our flight, and 44 hours to go to touchdown at Cheng Du. Having foods that I think I’ll miss in my two weeks at China/Tibet. Today: sashimi at Sakuraya. Tomorrow: curry at Coco Ichibanya? Hokkien noodles? Satay? Home cooked food?

(YES, COCO ICHIBANYA’S CURRY IS SO GOOD THAT I’VE ONLY HAD IT ONCE AND I ALREADY MISS IT!)

Food on the cheap

Look at those oysters! Yum! Also had a smoked-tea chicken and the lemongrass jelly with lemon sorbet. Everything’s good! (Btw the Hokkien noodles are nowhere as spicy as it looks. Heat-seekers can request for normal or extra spicyness.) Using a voucher from Jigocity for the fish and the noodles, the bill came up to about $17 for two.

Having dinner at Coffee Bean now… The promotions are pretty awesome. Top up $30 to get an additional $5 voucher for use on the spot, and also 10% rebate for UOB (or Citibank) users. That’s paying $27 for $35 value :)
