can’t help thinking of that line, y’know, that one, that goes “don’t work”. and that’s what, uh, work, feels like. it’s been so full of new things and nothings that it doesn’t really feel like work. i like that feeling. it’s like a new adventure everyday. it’s coming to an end (no, not because i’ve found greener grass, it’s because the novelty wears off), but it’s been good. i might have been pulling 12 hour shifts the past couple of weeks, but i enjoyed it. and hey, i feel like i know more about batch files now! (nothing practical though, because i don’t know anything about dos commands!)
so coming up - trip to kl and malacca. planning to head deep into the batu caves (yes, der, i’ll get past those pesky renovation signs and get wet and dirty seeing stala and staga whassernames!), trapise about buildings “of architectural significance”, climb in asia’s largest climbing gym, take a ride on malaysia’s version of the flyer, visit the zoomelaka (that’s malacca zoo in url-speak), see stuff the dutch/portugese/whoever left behind, and eat bak kut teh and chicken rice balls and authentic nonya food!
after this, i’ll have 5 days of leave left. (which i probably can’t clear in one shot until july..) anyone with any ideas?
thinking maybe, just maybe, if i can save up enough, i’ll head to finland in december instead and see santa. but i’m dreading the winter cold. any advice?
and here’s a baby blues comic, about 10 years old, that i relate to absolutely.
