am trying to e-file my taxes right now, having suddenly realised that i have only 2 days left. unfortunately, much of the working population seems to have the same inclination towards procrastination as i do, and i haven’t been able to get pass the login page. and it took me about fifteen minutes just to get that far. *sigh*
as for my resolutions, i’ve decided to scrap the “vegetarian twice weekly” plan, and to just eat vegetarian as much as possible, i.e. when my friends are not insisting on eating somewhere that doesn’t have a reasonable vegetarian meal option, e.g. macdonalds (because i refuse to lunch on only french fries and apple slices!).
in other news, i’m planning to do a 3 day getaway to malaysia with my colleagues, and a 9 day holiday to taiwan with my jc friends. the malaysia trip is making me sad because of… the complexity in planning, ala trying to accomodate everyone (and yes, i know we can’t please ‘em all, but since it’s a vacation i’d like to try my best for everyone!). the taiwan trip is making me sad because i’ve no idea if i can actually go, reason one being my jc friends have all booked air tickets except me, reason two being i still can’t confirm if i can take leave during that period of time. *mumbles grumbles rawrrrr*
there’s also a europe trip in the works, mainly centering around the fact that a friend will be on exchange to finland for the first half of 2010, and i’m angling for free accomodation and companionship to travel through the surrounding countries. and der might be able to take leave and go travelling with me! :D i’m looking at something along the lines of moscow – st. petersburg – helsinki (or wherever zx will be studying at!) – lapland – south through sweden (any suggestions, xuan?), then maybe a flight to an eastern european country (estonia? latvia? lithuania?) before heading off from moscow. please suggest/criticise/etc as you wish, bearing in mind that i’m starting in moscow solely because i have the impression that planes from singapore only go to moscow, london, and a scattering of german cities.
ps: i give up on filing my tax. hope to have better luck tomorrow!
